Why did I go natural?
For most people now, going natural has become a fad or the new trend to them. I don’t get when people say things like ” natural hair is not for you” or “relaxed her is not for you”. It’s your hair! Do whatever you want with it!! People who have natural hair need to stop looking at people with processed hair like they’re some sort of Diabolo! And people with relaxed hair need to stop telling naturals to relax their hair. I started uni and I didn’t relax my hair for a long time. So it started to break. Really bad! After a while I had literally no front hair. Don’t get me wrong I loved my relaxed hair! And I didn’t just get up one day and say I was going natural.my hair was was beautiful! But when I decided I wanted a new look. My plan wasn’t to go natural. It was just to cut my hair. I started loving it. All the fear that my head was looking too big. All the times I thought I’d get mistaken for an SHS student. Lol. It’s beautiful. Yet annoying. Too soft when you need it to be tough. Too tough when you need it to be soft. Not growing fast enough. Growing out too fast that you ran out if hairstyles. Lol. The combs. The creams! The spray water bottle. It’s all beautiful. Sometimes I miss my relaxed hair. But I love my new look. It hasn’t even been a year. But I feel like it’s been a lifetime. It’s your hair. Do whatever you want with it!!!!

what cracked me up was the “diabolo” bit. That’s how I knew that Ghana reigns in your blood. I didn’t even get to the SHS part.
